Living under a rock in Antarctica

Unless you have been living underneath a rock in the middle of Antarctica, these past 1 ½ months have been like whoa!

Mainstream Media (from here on out will be MSM) has really stop talking about it.  But guess what? The protesting and the work is still going on.  MSM has talked a little about Ferguson with the Department of Justice coming in to investigate the police department.

There are some folks who actual thought, we were post racial with the election of the Senator from Illinois President Barack Obama.  Hey look we elected a black man to the highest office in the country The White House.  All that did was bring to surface the racist son of bitches who were already operating underground terrorizing POC everywhere.

The events in Ferguson shows the rest of the nation (what we already knew) that racism is not dead and gone.

White folks[1] say if you stop talking about it, it will go away.

That is not how it works.  That is not how any of this works.  You can’t wave a magic wand and say poof all racism gone.  If it was that simple, I won’t be nor would other folks still be talking about it.

What it really boils down to is this; These White Folks wants us to stop noticing that they have their big black third world country made from child labor boot on our neck.

We can never be seen as human.  When our men and women are killed by the hands of either white police officers or white’s period, we can never ever in the eyes of the holy trinity of white supremacy be a victim.  We have in some way deserved that beat down for jay walking. We deserved to be shot in the face and killed for simply knocking on the door asking for help.  We deserved to be shot at and killed for listening to music in our car.  We deserved to be put in that illegal choke hold and strangled to death.  We deserved to be chased down and shot with a can of ice tea and skittles.  We somehow deserved to be publicly executed with our hands up surrendering saying ‘Don’t Shoot’.

We can never be seen as human beings. That is something that doesn’t even apply to us. With Michael Brown, folks kept adding he was college bound to make a sadder story.  It doesn’t matter he was heading to college on that Monday.  He was murdered in cold blood by that bastard.

His life mattered. So did Renisha, Eric, Ezel, John, Oscar, Trayvon to just name a few. Black lives Matter

We have been dehumanized, demonized and criminalized since the end of the actual shackles of slavery.  Other forms of systemic slavery was put into place to keep us in our ‘suppose’ place of being under the boot. There are other blogs out there that will go into more detail on the different forms of Jim Crow template we are living in currently[2].

We have a lot of work to do in this country.  We need to final dismantle the altar of white supremacy once and for all.  But in order to do that we need to have a ‘Come to Jesus’ moment within the Black Community.  There seems to be a lot of anti-blackness within the black community.  Colorism is huge within the community and that is a byproduct of HAWS[3].  The mindset is so deep most folks don’t even realize they are doing it.

We have come together before to rise up and fight the HAWS. We can do it again.  Too many of my beautiful black sisters and brothers are dying from the extremely thirsty HAWS.
